Wedding Season is Here: Are Your Teeth Ready?
Your wedding dress might be an important part of your special wedding day, but don't forget about your smile! It is one of the most important accessories that you will notice and remember for the rest of your life. Rather than regretting the appearance of your smile on your wedding day, take these simple steps to ensure that it is looking its best.

Schedule that cleaning! Come on in for a cleaning just before your big day. There is nothing better than professionally cleaned teeth that are pearly white and incredibly smooth.

Consider teeth whitening If your teeth are not as white as you would like, come on in for a tooth whitening treatment. This non-invasive treatment is simple, painless, and over in less than an hour, leaving you with a beautiful smile for your wedding day!

Take a close look at your smile A few months before your wedding, really inspect your smile. Is there a gap you want to eliminate? Or unsightly stains that tooth whitening will not help? Consider dental veneers to make your smile the best it has ever been!

When you are ready to plan your wedding, make sure to schedule time for your teeth - they play a very important role in the way you look on your wedding day and in your pictures, which you want to be able to treasure for many years to come. So among the dress shopping, meal tastings, and parties, schedule your appointment with our office to make sure your smile is everything you want it to be!

Use Straws to Drink!
Did you know that straws promote optimal oral health by reducing the amount of sugar and bacteria that comes into contact with the enamel of your child's teeth? Most kids love juice, milkshakes, and soda; which all can promote decay. When your little one is enjoying a special treat, try to encourage the use of straws. The one exception? Drinking water without a straw is recommended, so that the water can wash over the teeth and help rinse the teeth during and after a meal or snack. If you are having a hard time convincing your kids that straws are the way to go, try a straw in a silly shape or with their favorite character on it. The result? Happy kids, and a satisfied you; knowing that they are having fun and keeping healthy at the same time!

Caring for Clear Aligners
It is just as important to care for your teeth when you have clear aligners as it is when you have metal braces. If you place the aligners back in before brushing and flossing your teeth properly, you are putting your teeth at higher risk for tooth decay and infection. Even though you have the ability to eat and drink what you want when wearing clear aligners, proper oral hygiene is the essential component as your aligners and/or braces are not going to be in your mouth forever, but the teeth you have are the only set you get for the rest of your life!
