National Dental Health Month -
Not Just for Kids!
National Dental Health Month is a great time to take stock of your dental health. When was the last time you visited our office? Did you skip your last appointment? Sometimes when our teeth feel okay, we forget the importance of a professional exam. The exam that we perform is a very important part of your overall health, and can help stop decay or disease before it progresses to a point where you don't feel that great anymore.

Your Oral Health Matters
Your oral and physical health are directly related. When something goes wrong with your oral health, such as gum disease, your physical health can be directly impacted. You are instantly put at higher risk for heart disease, diabetes, and respiratory issues. The health of your mouth predicates what your overall health will be like because it is the gateway to the rest of your body. If the germs in your mouth are passed into your bloodstream you could suffer serious physical health conditions.

Don't Take A Chance!
Why take the chance of putting your health at risk? Come in for your regularly scheduled appointment and let us determine, if everything is in good standing. If we suspect that there is an issue, we can provide you with proper care right away with minimally invasive treatments that will have you back in good health in no time!

Floss Daily
We all know that flossing helps keep both your teeth and gums healthy and free from harmful bacteria; after all, your hygienist keeps reminding you! Research shows that brushing alone is simply not enough; the bristles can't get in between teeth and remove all the food and plaque accumulating there. Flossing can - it gets into all the tight and tiny spaces where your toothbrush can't go! When you fail to floss daily, you are giving plaque the chance to become tartar, which in turn promotes tooth decay and cavities. Flossing helps to prevent both cavities and gum disease, keeping your teeth and gums healthy and strong.

Get Your Oral Cancer Screening!
Did you know that a large part of the oral health exam when you come in for an appointment every six months is to screen for oral cancer? This disease is often identified in patients who aren't showing any symptoms, which means that we are able to catch it in its earliest form. This gives you a better chance at surviving the cancer, and also reduces the risk of the cancer spreading to other parts of your body. Have you had a thorough screening in the last year? Make your appointment today in honor of Dental Health Month and get your oral cancer screening today!
