The Value of eNewsletters
With the ever-changing growth of technology, continual advancements in mobile phones/iphones and apps, more and more people communicating via social media, and our fast-paced society, it seems people are producing less hard copies of their publications - regular newsletters, bulletins, calendars, etc. So how do you get these regular publications and important information in front of your target audience? How do you still convey this information in today's growing online atmosphere?

Online eNewsletters can be the answer! Online eNewsletters can be a great way to:
•  Stay "top of mind" with your clients, patients, customers, etc - so when they need your services, they will know who to call
•  Communicate specials you are offering, new services, closure dates, hours of operation - anything you would like your audience to know
•  Share educational information that pertains to your business and clients

One of our clients inparticular, Patti Lind, does this very well. Each month, Patti Lind composes an informative e-newsletter. She specializes in the development of effective interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and group facilitation. Through her consulting business Patti provides experienced assistance with communication training, teambuilding, relationship and individual skill development, and meeting facilitation.

Here is what Patti has to say about how VisionSite has made this possible:

"VisionSite has been the essential reason that my business moved from being a "kitchen nook" enterprise into a full scale professional business. Over the years, I have always received excellent consultation on website design and newsletter distribution. Potential new clients check out my website and consistently tell me that they are impressed with my website. Thank you, VisionSite!” Patti Lind Consulting — www.pattilind.com

What Can Blogging Do for Your Website?
Winning loyal consumers or clients who will return and spread the word about their positive experiences in your business is the objective. Marketing to attract these value-based customers, those concerned with the lowest price and the best experience or product, is effectively achieved through social media tools like Facebook, Twitter, and Google’s SEO assistance, but also through the powerful medium of blogging. For optimal marketing success, blogging can funnel consumers into your website in ways that even Google’s SEO cannot.

Corporate blogging compels your company to stay up to date on the newest technology in your industry. You continually place yourself in the consumer’s shoes, and then take on the role of teacher, anticipating questions the reader or “student” of your business or cause may ask. This is called the power of content. Your blogging provides much needed or valued information to the shopper, explaining it in ways they can identify, and empowering their decision making on behalf of your company.

Blogging leads to a greater trust and sense of community in your company, which then leads to potential consumers, which finally leads to sales! Providing space for commentaries and company responses at the end of the blogs is another proven detail drawing in consumers, generating discussion, and creating greater trust that the company has its customers’ interests at heart.

Prospective buyers who have pages of relevant information at their fingertips, especially when the blogging content is linked with your sales approach, will be more likely to become repeat customers.

VisionSite can assist in setting up your company’s blogging website! Give us a call today: 503-525-9500.

Online Reputation Management (ORM) is the term that refers to the time and organized efforts needed to monitor and respond to the myriad of public postings that may refer to your business online. In many cases companies are unaware of what people are saying about their business online and how to deal with potentially negative comments. In short, online reputation management is the process of controlling what shows up when someone "Googles" your company name, or checks out your Facebook or LinkedIn page.

Does ORM Matter? Ask Taco Bell.
Last January a law firm that filed a class-action lawsuit against Taco Bell alleging that the fast-food chain's seasoned beef wasn't beefy enough to be called beef. In April they withdrew that suit. After the lawsuit was voluntarily dropped Taco Bell was still feeling the effects in sales. Taco Bell even launched a "Would it kill you to say you’re sorry?" campaign, which included full-page ads in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, and numerous local market newspapers.
ORM Also Matters for Individuals. In fact a survey by CareerBuilder.com found that 1 in 4 hiring managers used search engines to screen candidates. One in ten also checked candidates profiles on social networking sites such as Facebook.

So, what's the point?
If you are not actively building your companies' reputation, then more than likely someone else will — especially with the growth in potential clients using social media such as Facebook and LinkedIn for selecting the professionals that they engage. If you want/need more information on how to actively frame your online reputation ask us!
